William Bonin
Gregory Matthew Miley
Miley was arrested in Texas and charged with the murders of Charles Miranda and James McCabe. He also agreed to testify against Bonin in exchange for not getting the death penalty. Miley was sentenced 25 to life.
Vernon Butts
In July Vernon was arrested for being an accomplice in six of the "freeway" murders. Butts also agreed to testify against Bonin in exchange for not getting the death penalty. Vernon Hanged himself.
James Michael Munro
Munro stole William Bonin's car and was arrested on July 31st and returned to California to be charged with the killing of Steven Wells. Munro also agreed to testify against Bonin in exchange for not getting the death penalty. Munro was sentenced to 15 to life.
William Pugh
In May, William Pugh was arrested for an incident unrelated to the "freeway" murders. William Pugh turned Bonin in and also agreed to testify against Bonin. Pugh received six years for manslaughter.
